Biweekly Paycheck Date Calculator calculates in your browser.
Find every payday on a biweekly schedule
Biweekly pay arrives every 14 days on the same weekday, so one known payday is enough to find all the others. Paste in the date from a recent pay stub — or any payday, however long ago — and the calculator counts the two-week steps to today to find your next payday, then lists as many dates forward or back as you need. It also shows how many paydays fall in that year and which months get three paychecks, which is what most people are really planning a budget around.
How to use the Biweekly Paycheck Date Calculator
- Enter a payday you know is on your schedule. It can be in the past or the future.
- Choose upcoming paydays, previous paydays, or both, and how many dates to list (up to 104 — four years).
- Read the next payday on or after today, the paydays in that year, and the months with three paydays.
- Use Copy Result to copy every date as rows you can paste into a spreadsheet or calendar.
How the dates are counted
Steps = (today − known payday) ÷ 14, rounded up
Next payday = known payday + 14 × steps
Each payday after that = the one before + 14 days
Dates are counted as whole calendar days, never as clock times, so month ends, year ends, leap days, and daylight-saving changes can’t shift a payday. A known payday in the future works too: the steps are negative and the calculator counts back. The fourth example lands on December 31, 2027 — the 27th payday of a year whose first payday was January 1.
| Known payday | Today | Next payday | Paydays that year |
|---|---|---|---|
| January 2, 2026 | October 8, 2026 | Friday, October 9, 2026 | 26 paydays |
| January 9, 2015 | October 8, 2026 | Friday, October 16, 2026 | 26 paydays |
| December 18, 2026 | October 8, 2026 | Friday, October 9, 2026 | 26 paydays |
| December 17, 2027 | December 20, 2027 | Friday, December 31, 2027 | 27 paydays |
| February 18, 2028 | February 20, 2028 | Friday, March 3, 2028 | 26 paydays |
Calculated on your device
- The dates are worked out in your browser as you type; nothing is sent to a server.
- The payday you enter and the dates listed are not sent to Looty Tools or stored.
- The calculator area is masked from session-recording analytics, so what you enter isn’t captured in recordings.
Limitations
- Employers handle paydays that fall on a weekend or holiday in different ways — some pay the business day before, some the business day after, and some pay on the date regardless. This list doesn’t apply any holiday calendar. Check the dates against your employer’s pay calendar.
- It assumes the schedule never changed. If your employer switched paydays or pay frequency, enter a payday from after the change.
- It lists dates only. It doesn’t estimate pay amounts, taxes, or deductions — the Partial Pay Period Salary Calculator splits a salary into a period amount.
- Up to 104 dates at a time; dates from the year 1 to 9999.

Biweekly Paycheck Date Calculator FAQ
- How do I work out my biweekly paycheck dates?
- Start from any payday you know — a recent pay stub is enough — and add 14 days at a time. If you were paid on Friday, January 2, 2026, every payday after that is another Friday two weeks later. Counting forward from that date, the first payday on or after October 8, 2026 is Friday, October 9.
- Does it matter how long ago my known payday was?
- No. Any payday on the schedule fixes the rhythm, whether it was last month or ten years ago, and it can even be a future payday. The calculator counts the 14-day steps from that date to today, so the next payday it shows is always the first one on or after today.
- How many biweekly paychecks are in a year?
- Usually 26. A year is 365 or 366 days — one or two days more than 26 two-week periods — so when the first payday falls on January 1 (or January 1 or 2 in a leap year), the year has 27. On a Friday schedule that includes January 2, 2026, the year 2027 has 27 paydays: January 1 through December 31.
- Which months have three biweekly paychecks?
- Two months in most years, and which ones depends on your payday. On the Friday schedule above, January and July 2026 each have three paydays. The calculator lists the three-paycheck months for the year of your next payday.
- Is biweekly the same as twice a month?
- No. Biweekly means every two weeks, always on the same weekday, so there are 26 or 27 paydays a year. Twice a month is semi-monthly: two fixed dates such as the 15th and the last day, 24 paydays a year, on whatever weekday those dates fall.
- What if a payday falls on a holiday?
- The calculator doesn’t move it. Employers handle holiday paydays differently — some pay the business day before, some the day after — so check holiday weeks against your employer’s pay calendar.
- Are the hours and dates I enter sent anywhere?
- No. The calculation runs in your browser as you type. Your hours, dates, and results are not sent to Looty Tools or stored, and the calculator area is masked from session-recording analytics. Refreshing the page clears it.
