How to Report a Problem With an Online File Converter
When a conversion fails, looks wrong, or downloads incorrectly, a clear report helps the Looty Tools team investigate faster than a vague “it did not work” note. This guide explains how to use the in-tool feedback menu on dedicated tool pages, what to include, and what never leaves your device with the report.
Where to find the three-dot menu
On each live dedicated tool page—such as HEIC to JPG, Merge PDF, CSV to JSON, or Audio Format Converter—open the main workspace panel. A vertical three-dot button sits in that panel (top-right toolbar on image converters; beside the title on most PDF and File & Data tools).
The menu is not on category browsing cards, Coming Soon cards, Image or Audio hub listings, related-tool links, guides, or admin Tool Management. Issue reporting is available from implemented tool workspaces.
Choose Report an issue
Open the menu and select Report an issue. The modal title names the tool automatically from the workspace you are using, so you do not type the tool name yourself.
Pick the closest category: Conversion failed, Incorrect output, Download problem, Page or display problem, Instructions are unclear, Performance problem, or Other.
Describe what happened and what you expected
In the message field, write what you tried, what you saw, and what you expected instead. Useful details include the approximate file type or size class, browser name, and whether the problem happens every time. You need at least a short meaningful description (about 10 characters or more).
Do not paste passwords, private document text, or personal identifiers that are not needed for troubleshooting.
Optional contact email
You may leave an email for follow-up. It is optional. If you are already signed in, the field may be prefilled with your account email; you can clear or change it before sending.
Diagnostics (on by default)
The checkbox “Include browser and page details…” is checked by default. While it stays enabled, the report can include your browser user agent, viewport width and height, and language setting.
The current page path is always included with a feedback submission so the team knows which tool page you were on. Unchecking diagnostics stops the user-agent, viewport, and language fields from being sent, but the page path is still included.
Uploaded files and conversion output are never attached to a feedback report—whether or not diagnostics are enabled.
After you send
If the report sends successfully, you see an on-page confirmation in the modal. Looty Tools does not send a separate confirmation email for tool feedback.
Feedback helps the team review problems, but there is no promised response time and no guarantee that every issue will be fixed.
Rate limits and privacy expectations
To reduce spam and abuse, feedback submissions may be rate limited. If you see a temporary “try again” style message, wait and resubmit later.
Using a tool and submitting feedback are different actions. Tools that process files locally keep those files on your device for the conversion. Feedback only sends the text and limited technical details you choose—not your source file or download.
