Privacy Policy

Overview

Looty Tools provides browser-based utilities for everyday tasks involving files, documents, images, audio, spreadsheets, and data. Privacy is considered in how many of these tools are designed—especially by keeping file processing in your browser when that approach fits the workflow.

Using Looty Tools may still involve limited collection or processing of information through accounts, contact messages, usage statistics, analytics, advertising scripts, security checks, and hosting providers. This policy describes those practices based on the current implementation.

Information you provide

You may choose to provide information to Looty Tools, including:

• An email address, display name, and password when you create or sign into an account
• Account profile details associated with your signed-in session
• Name, email address, subject, and message content submitted through the Contact page
• Any other information you deliberately submit while using the site

Account authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication. Looty Tools does not operate its own password database; passwords are processed by the authentication provider according to that provider’s practices.

Files processed by tools

Many Looty Tools utilities are designed to process files directly in your browser. For those tools, file contents are handled on your device for the conversion or editing task and are not uploaded to Looty Tools servers as part of the tool workflow.

Processing may use temporary browser memory. Closing or refreshing the page generally clears temporary processing state. Some tools may also keep optional local drafts in browser storage on your device; those drafts remain on your device and are not uploaded by the tool workflow.

Avoid processing highly sensitive files on shared or untrusted devices. Tool usage statistics may record that a tool completed successfully, but the usage system is designed not to store the contents of processed files.

Information collected automatically

When you visit or use Looty Tools, technical information may be processed automatically by the website, hosting infrastructure, authentication, analytics, advertising, or security providers. Depending on the service involved, this may include information such as:

• Browser and device type
• Operating system
• Approximate geographic region
• IP address or network address information used for delivery, security, or abuse prevention
• Referring pages and pages you visit on Looty Tools
• Interactions with the site, including certain link and tool-usage events
• Date and time of access
• Diagnostic, security, and performance-related signals

Exact details vary by provider. For example, hosting and content delivery networks may process request logs; authentication and security providers may process signals needed to protect the service; and analytics or advertising scripts may process interaction and device information when those features are active.

Tool usage statistics

Looty Tools may record limited information when a tool completes a successful operation, such as:

• Which tool completed successfully
• Aggregate lifetime and daily usage counts
• The approximate date or time a tool was last used
• A temporary operation identifier used to avoid double-counting the same success

These records are maintained as tool-level aggregates and operation identifiers. They are not designed to store file contents or filenames. Successful uses by verified administrators may be excluded from public usage counts. Separately, abuse-prevention rate limits may store hashed network identifiers rather than tying usage counts to your account profile.

Analytics

Looty Tools may use Firebase Analytics to understand how the website is used and to improve the product. Analytics may help us learn about pages and tools that are visited, navigation through the website, selected interactions such as visits to other Looty ecosystem sites from Looty Tools, general device and interaction information, and site performance.

Analytics information is processed according to Google’s practices for Firebase Analytics / Google Analytics. You can learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy.

Advertising

Looty Tools integrates Google AdSense for advertising support and account verification. The AdSense script may be loaded on the site when configured. The presence of the script does not mean that an advertisement is displayed on every page; ad placements may change over time.

Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies. Ads may be selected or measured using information about visits to this and other websites, subject to applicable settings and legal requirements. Google’s handling of advertising data is governed by Google’s own policies.

You may be able to manage personalized-ad settings through Google Ads Settings. Looty Tools does not currently vary AdSense loading based on whether you are signed in.

Cookies and similar technologies

Looty Tools and its service providers may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies for purposes such as:

• Essential authentication or security storage for signed-in sessions and account protection
• Preferences and basic site functionality
• Analytics measurement
• Advertising and ad measurement
• Fraud prevention, abuse prevention, and service integrity checks (including technologies used by security providers such as reCAPTCHA or App Check where enabled)

Looty Tools does not currently provide a separate cookie-consent panel on the website. You can control cookies and similar storage through your browser settings. Disabling essential storage may affect authentication or other site functionality.

Accounts and authentication

If you create an account, authentication is handled through Firebase Authentication. Account creation and sign-in use an email address and password, along with related security checks such as rate limiting and, where configured, reCAPTCHA.

After authentication, Looty Tools may keep an associated account profile with identifiers such as your user ID, display name, email address, role, and account timestamps. Signed-in sessions persist in your browser according to the authentication provider’s default session behavior until you sign out or clear browser storage.

A self-service account-deletion control is not currently available in the account interface. You may sign out at any time and can contact Looty Tools to request account-related assistance, including deletion requests.

How information is used

We use information for purposes such as:

• Providing and operating the website and tools
• Authenticating accounts and maintaining account profiles
• Performing requested tool operations in your browser or supporting related product features
• Maintaining usage statistics and product metrics
• Improving tools, usability, and site performance
• Responding to contact messages and support requests
• Securing the service and preventing abuse
• Diagnosing errors and operational issues
• Complying with legal obligations
• Displaying, verifying, or measuring advertising where AdSense is configured

How information is shared

Looty Tools does not sell personal information for money in the ordinary sense of selling customer lists. Information may be processed by service providers that help operate the site, including:

• Google Firebase (authentication, database services, analytics, and related security features)
• Google AdSense
• Google reCAPTCHA (where used for contact, signup, or related security checks)
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosting and related infrastructure, including Amplify hosting and SES email delivery for contact messages

We may also disclose information when required to comply with applicable law or valid legal requests; to protect users, Looty Tools, or the public; in connection with a business transfer; or with your direction or consent.

Data retention

Different categories of information are retained for different periods based on operational, security, legal, and account needs:

• Account information is retained while the account remains active and as needed to operate or secure the service
• Contact communications are delivered by email and retained according to mailbox and email-provider practices rather than as a dedicated contact database in the application
• Aggregate tool-usage records may be retained to understand product use over time
• Analytics information is retained according to the analytics provider’s settings and practices
• Advertising data may be controlled by Google and advertising partners according to their policies
• Temporary browser-side file processing and local drafts generally remain on your device and are cleared when you close, refresh, or remove local storage, depending on the tool

Exact retention periods may vary and are not fixed to a single published schedule in the application.

Data security

Looty Tools uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the service, including authenticated access controls, abuse-prevention checks, and provider-managed security features where configured. No method of transmission or storage over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your choices and rights

Depending on how you use the site, you may:

• Choose not to create an account and still use many tools
• Sign out of your account
• Manage browser cookies and local storage through your browser settings
• Manage Google advertising preferences through Google Ads Settings
• Request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold
• Contact Looty Tools with privacy questions or account-deletion requests

Privacy rights vary by location and may include rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection. This policy does not create jurisdiction-specific guarantees beyond applicable law. If you have a privacy request, please use the Contact page and describe your request clearly.

Children's privacy

Looty Tools is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has submitted personal information, please contact us through the Contact page so we can review and address the issue.

International users

Looty Tools and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where those providers operate. If you access the site from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed in locations with different data-protection rules than those in your country.

Third-party links and the Looty ecosystem

Looty Tools may link to other websites, including Looty Pool, Looty Chords, and Looty Foundation. Each external website may have its own privacy practices. This Privacy Policy applies only to Looty Tools unless we explicitly state otherwise.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of Looty Tools after an update means the revised policy applies to your ongoing use of the service.
