How to Convert WebP to JPG in Your Browser
WebP is common on modern websites, but many apps and email clients still expect JPG. This guide walks through browser-local WebP to JPG conversion on Looty Tools.

Convert a WebP still in your browser
- Open /tools/webp-to-jpg.
- Choose a .webp file (max 25 MB; each side 8,192 px or fewer).
- Adjust JPEG quality if needed (default 90%).
- Select Convert & download and save the .jpg.
Transparency flattens onto white
JPEG has no alpha channel. The converter paints a white canvas first, then draws the decoded WebP so transparent pixels become predictable white instead of browser-dependent blacks.
Animated WebP: first frame only
Animated WebP files are accepted, but only the first frame becomes a JPG. Animation is not preserved because JPEG is a still-image format.
Do not expect a multi-frame or looping JPG output.
Validation and privacy
Files must look like real WebP (RIFF/WEBP signature) and decode successfully. Renamed or corrupted files fail safely. Conversion stays in your browser with no upload to Looty Tools.
