Watermark PDF FAQ
- Is my PDF uploaded when I add a watermark?
- No. Watermarking runs locally in your browser. Your file is never uploaded to Looty Tools.
- What's the difference between a text and an image watermark?
- A text watermark stamps a word or phrase (like "CONFIDENTIAL" or "DRAFT") using a built-in font. An image watermark stamps a PNG or JPG image, such as a logo, instead.
- What image formats are supported for an image watermark?
- PNG and JPG only. Other formats like GIF or WebP are not currently supported.
- Can I control where the watermark appears?
- Yes. Choose from five positions (center or any corner), and adjust opacity, rotation, and size to fit your document.
- Does the watermark apply to every page?
- By default, yes. You can switch to a custom page range (for example "1-3, 5") to watermark only specific pages instead.
- Will watermarking reduce my PDF quality or change the page size?
- No. The watermark is drawn directly on the existing pages, so the original page dimensions and content quality are preserved.
