Minutes to Decimal Hours Chart (1–59 Minutes)
This chart lists every minute from 1 to 59 as a decimal fraction of an hour, to 2 places for timesheets and to 4 places where more precision helps. Add the decimal to the whole hours: 7 hours 38 minutes is 7 + 0.63 = 7.63. Values marked ≈ are rounded because those minutes don’t divide into an hour evenly.

Using the chart
Keep the whole hours as they are and look up only the minutes. 7 hours 38 minutes is 7 + 0.63 = 7.63 hours, and 0 hours 52 minutes is 0.87. If a time clock shows minutes of 60 or more, carry whole hours over first: 95 minutes is 1 hour 35 minutes, or 1.58.
