How to Convert JPG to AVIF in Your Browser

Steps
- Open /tools/jpg-to-avif.
- Choose a .jpg or .jpeg file within the shared limits.
- Adjust AVIF quality if needed (default 90%).
- Select Convert & download and save the .avif.
Encoding checks
The tool probes canvas AVIF encoding and verifies the blob MIME type is image/avif. Silent PNG fallback is treated as unsupported encoding.
Quality and transparency
Canvas AVIF encoding with a quality slider is lossy. JPG has no alpha channel, so the AVIF does not invent transparency.
