How to Convert AVIF to JPG in Your Browser
AVIF can be efficient online, but many destinations still expect JPG. This guide covers browser-local AVIF to JPG conversion.

Steps
- Open /tools/avif-to-jpg.
- Choose a .avif file within the shared limits.
- Adjust JPEG quality if needed (default 90%).
- Select Convert & download and save the .jpg.
Container validation and decode
Files must include an avif or avis brand and decode in the browser. HEIC-only brands and renamed non-AVIF files are rejected.
Transparency and animation
Transparent pixels flatten onto white before JPEG encode. Animated AVIF converts only the first decodable frame.
