What "Any" means here

GIF to Any offers a choice of 12 common, reliable output formats, grouped into Common (JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, BMP, and TIFF) and Specialized (ICO, PDF, SVG, TGA, QOI, and PPM) — not every image format in existence. GIF output is not offered because re-saving a GIF as a GIF would not change anything.

Step-by-step conversion

Switching the output format resets quality and any format-specific controls to that format’s own default, and clears any previous conversion result.

  1. Open /tools/gif-to-any.
  2. Choose a GIF file — the content is validated before conversion.
  3. Pick an output format from the grouped dropdown.
  4. Adjust the settings shown for that format: quality, icon size, alpha channel, or PDF page layout, whichever apply.
  5. Select Convert & download.

Source-specific behavior

This tool is for static GIF conversion only. Animated GIF: only the first frame is converted, and the result will not be animated.

Privacy

Conversion runs locally in your browser. The file is not uploaded to Looty Tools servers for this workflow.

Convert GIF to Any Format FAQ

Why isn't GIF offered as an output?
GIF output is not offered because re-saving a GIF as a GIF would not change anything.
What happens with an animated GIF file?
Only the first frame is converted, and the result will not be animated. This tool is for static GIF conversion only.
Does switching formats keep my file selected?
Yes. Only the output-format-specific settings (quality default, format-specific controls, previous result) reset — your chosen file stays selected.
Can every browser create AVIF?
No. Canvas AVIF encoding is Chromium-first today. Unsupported browsers get a clear error instead of a mislabeled download.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Conversion runs locally in your browser and does not upload your file to Looty Tools servers.
