What stays on your device

What still happens in the browser

JavaScript and WebAssembly must run. Large files may use significant memory. Some codecs depend on what FFmpeg can decode in the browser. Those limits are local resource and capability limits, not upload limits.

Limits that still apply

Inputs must be 25 MB or smaller. Supported inputs are MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC, and OGG. Outputs are MP3, WAV, and FLAC. Closing the tab stops an in-progress conversion.

Does local processing mean unlimited size?
No. The maximum input size is 25 MB, and large files can still stress browser memory.
